Overview The Financial Analyst is responsible for a variety of financial and analytical duties associated with the Dick’s Media Network. Job Duties And Responsibilities Budgeting and Forecasting Assist in the preparation of assigned components of the annual Company budget. Scope may include sales, gross profit, operating expenses, administrative expenses and capital expenditures. Analyze variances vs budget and historical results. Identify key drivers and trends. Work with business partners to update the forecast. Analyze and proactively address forecast accuracy issues. Identify forecast risks and opportunities Monthly Close Complete month-end closing activities which may include journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis. Assist with management reporting in support of our financial close cycle. Reporting & Financial Analysis Compile, validate and summarize financial information submitted by other business areas. Support weekly financial reporting that drives business discussions and decisions. Assist with new business initiatives. Identify and implement process improvements. Finance Operations Partner with Accounting Operations to manage the billing function. Partner with Expense Payables to manage purchase orders and monitor payments Development Take ownership and drive your professional development, in conjunction with your manager. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Three to five years of finance or marketing experience Proficient in Excel Financial Modeling Skills Peoplesoft Experience Hyperion Budgeting and Forecast System Ability to work independently Ability to multi-task #J-18808-Ljbffr DICK'S Sporting Goods
