Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: Ongoing 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Staff Position PET / Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Float) Facility: Outpatient Imaging Network Location: East Brunswick, New Jersey Department: PET / Nuclear Medicine Job Type: Full Time – Day Shift Schedule Monday – Friday | Shift times vary based on departmental needs Compensation $52/hr – $62/hr Full benefits package included Position Summary The PET / Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals, PET, CT, and Nuclear Medicine imaging equipment to evaluate the body’s internal structures and functions. This role is responsible for preparing and administering radioactive materials, ensuring patient safety and comfort, operating advanced imaging technology, and maintaining radiation safety standards across multiple outpatient imaging locations. Key Responsibilities Perform PET and Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately Operate PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine imaging equipment Monitor patients throughout imaging procedures and ensure patient comfort Maintain radiation safety and infection control standards Perform quality assurance and equipment checks as required Document patient information and imaging procedures accurately Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff to ensure quality patient care Float between multiple outpatient imaging locations as needed Adhere to all department and facility safety protocols Education & Experience Requirements NJDEP State License required CPR certification required ARRT(CT) or NMTCB/CT Fusion Modality certification required ARRT(N) or NMTCB(N) certification required Minimum of 2 years of PET / Nuclear Medicine experience preferred Experience operating PET/CT imaging equipment preferred Core Competencies Strong patient care and communication skills Attention to detail and image quality Critical thinking and problem-solving Ability to work independently and within a team Adaptability and flexibility between locations Strong organizational and time management skills Commitment to radiation safety standards Physical / Work Environment Requirements Ability to stand and move throughout imaging departments for extended periods Frequent operation of imaging and computer equipment Ability to assist and position patients during procedures Exposure to radiopharmaceuticals and specialized imaging equipment Ability to work in fast-paced outpatient imaging environments Medical Solutions Direct Hire Job ID #998406. #J-18808-Ljbffr
