Work includes driving a welding truck (CDL required) to and from work locations and setting the welding truck on the track.Primary/Essential Responsibilities and DutiesWill perform Flash Butt Welder/ Mobile Intrack WeldsCapable of performing job duties in a safe and professional mannerSelf-directed individual with the ability to supervise and lead a small groupResponsible to report customer and production status in a professional and timely mannerNo prior welding experience is requiredMust have the ability to read precision instruments and gauges with a background in heavy mechanical/electrical machines and equipmentPerform QA inspections as requiredCandidate must be able to lift 50 lbs.Candidate will set up and perform weld operations including moving jack stands into place prior to making welds, cleaning and removing ballast rocks in the work area, vehicle maintenance, and cleaning, truck movement while on track from work site to work site, grinding welds as neededMust be able to work in all weather conditionsRequired Skills and QualificationsA valid class A driver's license and satisfactory driving recordMust be 21 years or olderBasic computer skillsGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to communicate with all levels of employees and customersFill out and organize work reportsMust be able to travel 90% of timeMust have a valid driver's license and the ability to gain Class-A CDL with 90-dayAbility to pass drug screening and background checkHigh School Diploma/GED requiredPhysical Requirements and Working ConditionsWorks both indoors and outdoorsTravels to field locations to provide repairs or maintenanceFrequently performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as standing, lifting, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, and handling of materials, equipment, and toolsUses hands and fingers to operate equipment and tools involved in repairsLifts, pushes, pulls, and carries heavy objects, machinery, and tools up to 50 poundsWorks around vehicles and machinery with moving partsExposed to exhaust fumes, gasoline, and diesel fuelMay be exposed to harsh weather conditionsMay be exposed to loud noiseCompany OverviewThis job description is not intended to represent a complete, comprehensive list of all duties and responsibilities that may be required in this position.
