Sr. Specialist, Operations Project ManagerJob Code: 44928Job Location: Salt Lake City, UTJob Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days- totaling 80 hours worked- and have every other Friday offJob DescriptionThe Senior Specialist, Project Manager oversees all Operations efforts relating to contract execution, and is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring projects from beginning to end, according to strict deadlines and budgets. They act as the point-of-contact between elements of Manufacturing, Procurement, Test, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Program Management. They ensure cost and schedule conformance on assigned projects by coordinating the procurement, build, and test of complex electronic systems.Essential FunctionsInterface and communicate with all levels of the organizationAssist with the development of resource-loaded Integrated Master Schedules, including tie-ins with Engineering efforts and milestonesPerform lead-time and critical path analysis on multi-level hardware buildsAssess cost and schedule risks, and develop associated mitigationsMonitor and report financial, schedule, and technical performance of assigned projectsIdentify and coordinate resources necessary for quick reaction, development effortsWork closely with Engineering to identify, mitigate, and execute long-lead material procurementExperience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Related experience in a manufacturing, production, or other highly schedule-based environmentsQualificationsBachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.Preferred Additional SkillsDemonstrated ability in financial or data analysis and monitoring is desiredDemonstrated ability in business and/or technical writing, public speaking, and creating formal presentations is desiredProficiency with Microsoft Excel and ability to analyze data using graphs and pivot tablesExperience using schedule management tools such as Microsoft Project is preferredExperience with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems is preferred
