Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

$1933.92/week - Job Summary: Seeking an experienced RN - Mother Baby/Nursery for travel assignment in a busy Maternity Care Center. The role involves providing specialized maternity and neonatal care in a fast-paced environment with a focus on labor, delivery, and postpartum nursing. Responsibilities: Deliver direct patient care for laboring mothers, newborns, and postpartum patients. Assist with procedures such as cesarean sections, inductions, and OB triage. Monitor patient conditions using equipment like Corometrics EMR and manage active labor with interventions like Pitocin and epidurals. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, midwives, and support staff. Educate patients and families on postpartum care, newborn procedures, and breastfeeding support. Maintain all clinical documentation accurately within the electronic medical record system. Qualifications: Possess at least 2 years of obstetric RN experience. Hold active BLS, ACLS, NRP, and are AWHONN certified. Demonstrate strong skills in labor and delivery procedures, including C-sections. Exhibit energetic, self-directed personality suitable for fast-paced maternity care. Ability to float within the unit and handle multiple complex cases. Valid state RN license.
