Job Title UW Medical Center–Northwest - Acute Care Resource Team has an excellent opportunity for a Night Shift Float Nurse. Work Schedule 3x12 shift schedule Straight nights (7:00pm-7:30am) Rotating weekend shifts required Department Description Our Resource Team provides short‑term and long‑term staffing coverage on our inpatient acute care units, including telemetry, medical‑surgical, rehabilitation, and surgical services floors. This position will also have cross‑training opportunities on specialty units such as the Emergency Department, ICU, Childbirth Center, and inpatient behavioral health floors. This is a great opportunity to provide bedside care in a role where no two shifts are alike. Position Highlights Work on a variety of inpatient units Join a team where no two shifts are alike Cross‑train on specialty floors, including behavioral health Provide life‑changing care for hospital patients Primary Job Responsibilities Identify care needs across a broad spectrum of hospital departments Triage patient care priorities in collaboration with the nursing supervisor Work alongside doctors, social workers, care managers, and therapists Restore patients’ health by following evidence‑based nursing practices Monitor and administer medications and IVs Requirements 3 years of acute care inpatient hospital nursing experience BLS certification Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State Compensation and Benefits Pay Range Minimum: $50.59 hourly Pay Range Maximum: $88.64 hourly Other Compensation: BSN (or higher) premium – $1.00/hour Certification premium – $1.25/hour Night premium – $5.00/hour Weekend premium (Fridays and Saturdays) – $4.00/hour Sunday night premium – $3.00/hour Benefits: For information about benefits for this position, visit Union/Bargaining Unit WSNA UWMC Northwest Equal Opportunity Statement The University of Washington is committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful and welcoming community for all.
