Job Summary:
The Supermarket Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the supermarket, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient staff management, inventory control, and overall store profitability. This role involves supervising employees, maintaining store standards, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Manage and supervise department managers, supervisors, and store staff
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and issue resolution
- Monitor inventory levels, stock ordering, receiving, and product merchandising
- Maintain proper product displays, cleanliness, and store presentation standards
- Control store expenses, labor costs, and operational budgets to maximize profitability
- Analyze sales reports and develop strategies to improve store performance
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, health codes, and company policies
- Handle employee scheduling, hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and corporate leadership as needed
- Prevent loss through proper security measures and shrink reduction strategies
- Ensure all departments meet operational and financial goal
