Position Overview

Fairweather Health Care LLC is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team in Sugar Land, Texas. This full-time role focuses on patient-centered care in an onsite school-based urgent care setting. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in diagnosing and treating health conditions, promoting wellness and preventative measures, and collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary staff.

Our team consists of a collaborative group of healthcare professionals, including five physicians and five nurse practitioners, who share a common goal: to ensure the highest standard of care and health education.

Work Environment

The Nurse Practitioner will work in an onsite school facility located in Sugar Land, Texas, serving a diverse group of students and staff. The work hours are from Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week, with evenings concluding at 5:00 pm. The school environment fosters a dynamic interaction with students and educators, creating unique healthcare challenges and opportunities for engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and review patient medical histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood work and imaging studies, to diagnose various health issues.
• Manage and treat common acute health conditions such as minor injuries and illnesses.
• Develop patient care plans, including prescribing medications and proposing treatment options for chronic and infectious diseases.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records and accurate patient schedules to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and preventive health practices through effective communication.
• Support overall patient health by promoting healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention strategies.
• Stay current with advancements in the field, conducting research and participating in clinical discussions to further develop expert knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily focus on the pediatric population within the school environment, working with students from various backgrounds. You will address a range of health concerns, from acute minor injuries to chronic conditions, all while fostering a supportive and educational milieu for young patients.

Qualifications

• A valid Nurse Practitioner license issued by the state of Texas.
• A Master’s degree in Nursing, specializing in Nurse Practitioner (ANP/FNP preferred).
• Current DEA registration number to prescribe medications.
• Proficiency in Spanish is mandatory to effectively communicate with a diverse student population.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have:

• Demonstrable experience as a Nurse Practitioner in settings such as clinics, hospitals, or emergency rooms.
• Experience in primary care, urgent care, or specialty care areas such as internal medicine or pediatric care.
• A strong understanding of health regulations and patient care standards.
• Excellent communication skills, strong ethical standards, and a collaborative spirit.
• Ability to remain composed under pressure and demonstrate problem-solving abilities.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a robust compensation package, with an annual salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits include:
