Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced hospital emergency department. This travel RN role involves delivering compassionate patient care while efficiently managing a busy ED environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions upon arrival and prioritize care based on acuity.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures such as IV starts, port access, and Foley placements.
• Monitor patient status using GE monitors and document findings accurately in EMR systems.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about ongoing care and post-discharge instructions.
• Maintain compliance with unit policies, safety protocols, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Obtain and maintain active, current licensure as a registered nurse.
• Possess at least 1 year of current hospital ED experience.
• Hold current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, and ENPC or CPI.
• Demonstrate proficiency in pediatric emergency procedures and US IV placement.
• Exhibit excellent communication, compassionate care skills, and a team-oriented mindset.
• Experience with Point of Care Testing and pediatric ER procedures is preferred.
