Position: Perfusionist Sets up and operates heart/lung machines that support organ function during cardiac surgery or other procedure where circulatory or respiratory function is disrupted. Operates equipment to produce bypass, coronary perfusion, recirculation or partial bypass, or to alter blood temperature, balance, or content. Shift: 5x8s, 7:00a-3:00p Is on-call REQ? (Y/N): NO Types of procedures performed on the unit: CABG, VASCULAR , NEURO, OR ANY CASE WITH POTENTIAL OF MAJOR BLOOD LOSS. Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 2 Years First time travelers accepted (Y/N): YES Education Required: ACCREDITED CARDIOVASCULAR PERFUSION PROGRAM Certifications REQ: ABCP CERTIFICATION, ACLS, BLS Radiation Badge REQ (Y/N): Yes. Radiation badge MUST be provided by agency; MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelers Equipment Experience Required: HEART/LUNG MACHINE, QUEST, AUTOTRANSFUSION, CARDIOHELP, IMPELLA , IABP AND ANY OTHER STANDARD PERFUSION EQUIPMENT.
