Location: Gardena, CA (Hybrid 23 days in office)

Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt

Salary: $95,000 $120,000 (DOE)

We are a Japanese accounting firm seeking a Japanese-English bilingual Tax Senior to join our team. This role is ideal for professionals with 35 years of tax experience who are looking to grow their career in a collaborative and flexible work environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporate tax returns and related filings
• Handle tax compliance and reporting in accordance with applicable regulations
• Support tax planning and advisory services for clients
• Communicate with clients regarding tax matters and documentation
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely tax filings
• Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations

Qualifications

• 35 years of tax experience (corporate tax required; public accounting or in-house tax experience acceptable)
• Experience in public accounting or tax is preferred
• Experience in a Big 4 or similar public accounting firm is highly preferred
• CPA or EA license is not required; however, candidates pursuing CPA/EA or with relevant coursework are highly preferred
• Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Language Requirement

• Japanese-English bilingual required
