A day in the life

The Acute Care & Monitoring business unit supports clinicians in improving patient safety throughout the entire treatment pathway from preoperative preparation through surgery and intensive care to aftercare. The portfolio includes leading monitoring and respiratory management solutions such as BIS hypnosis depth measurement, INVOS cerebral and somatic oximetry, McGRATH video laryngoscopy, Nellcor pulse oximetry, Microstream capnography, NOL nociception monitoring, Corsano wearables as well as digital health solutions for connectivity and remote monitoring. In this sales position, you will take care of hospitals, university clinics, and medical institutions in the greater Aachen/Cologne area. The position is designed as a remote position and requires regular on-site presence at customers. The travel time within the sales area is up to 90%.

As an Account Manager Acute Care & Monitoring, you are responsible for building long-term customer relationships, developing new business opportunities, and the sustainable growth of the ACM portfolio in your sales area. You work closely with medical professionals, purchasing organizations, and internal stakeholders to successfully position innovative monitoring and patient management solutions and to make clinical benefits for patient care visible. For this position, there is a facility-related vaccination requirement. For this reason, a complete measles vaccination is a prerequisite for occupying the open position.

Responsibilities include, as follows:

- Develop and implement area and account plans to achieve or exceed sales, market share, and growth targets.

- Market and sell the Acute Care & Monitoring portfolio with a focus on monitoring, respiratory management, and perioperative solutions.

- Build sustainable relationships with hospital management, anesthesiologists, intensivists, operating room teams, purchasing departments, and other relevant stakeholders.

- Identify new business opportunities, analyze customer needs, and develop appropriate solution approaches to improve clinical and economic outcomes.

- Conduct product presentations, training, and clinical demonstrations and support users in the implementation of new technologies.

- Analyze market, competition, and customer developments and derive concrete sales measures from them.

- Work closely with marketing, clinical, service, and support teams to ensure successful product launches and customer projects.

- Maintain sales activities, forecasts, opportunities, and account plans in the relevant CRM systems and ensure high data quality.

Required knowledge and experience:

- Bachelors degree and at least 5 years of experience in medical sales, medical technology sales, or a comparable customer-oriented function.

- Proven experience in selling complex products or solutions in a hospital environment.

- Experience in building and developing long-term customer relationships at different decision-making levels.

- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills in German language as well as very good English language skills.

- Valid drivers license class B and travel readiness of up to 90% within the sales area.
