Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients while supporting their emotional and physical needs throughout the birthing process.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs to assess progress during labor.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications and anesthesia as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
  
  
• 
  Assist obstetricians and healthcare teams with delivery procedures.
  
  
• 
  Educate and support mothers on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
  
  
• 
  Document patient information accurately and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
  
  
• 
  Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies and provide optimal patient care.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Current state nursing license with certification in Labor and Delivery Nursing.
  
  
• 
  Proven experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, or obstetric nursing.
  
  
• 
  Strong knowledge of fetal monitoring, obstetric procedures, and neonatal care.
  
  
• 
  Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills.
  
  
• 
  Ability to remain calm and efficient in high-pressure situations.
  
  
• 
  BLS and NRP certifications are required.
