Reports to: Branch Manager 

Summary: Plans and executes business plan to optimize sales, profitability, and economy of operations.  The 
Outside Salesperson will provide representation and support to ensure MDG by Premium’s mission and core 
values are put into practice and project a positive company image. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

▪ Collaborates with Branch Manager and internal associates to establish annual sales plan to be 
reviewed monthly. 
▪ Meets or exceeds sales and margin goals established in collaboration with the Branch Manager. 
▪ Measures performance by the sale of brands within various segments and with multiple audiences. 
▪ Travels throughout the assigned territory to increase sales with established customers and identify 
and develop new prospects into lasting business partners. 
▪ Recognizes key performance indicators specific to their customers and works with stakeholders to 
establish measurable goals for progress. 
▪ Meets with architects, contractors, or consumers to review projects, proposals and plans to evaluate 
and encourage product specification and use; provides technical support to customers, creates and 
modifies design drawings, shop drawings and installation details. 
▪ Generates quotes and orders and submits according to procedures. 
▪ Partners with Inside Sales Support teams to meet customer expectations for sales, service, and 
delivery when applicable. 
▪ Demonstrates products using samples and catalogs; keeps literature current. 
▪ Remains current on all company software applications including but not limited to OMS and BisTrack. 
▪ Provides transparent feedback and support concerning sales opportunities; establishes and 
maintains a database of customers and account activities. 
▪ Responds to all correspondence (emails and voicemails) within 24 hours of receipt. 
▪ Resolve customer service issues in a timely and effective manner. 
▪ Invests in continued professional development, with the assistance and guidance of the company, 
with regards to product education, credit policies and procedures, and IT opportunities designed to 
accommodate the growth objectives of MDG by Premium.  
▪ Represents MDG by Premium by attending industry trade meetings, shows, events and factory tours. 
▪ Participates in developing unique selling proposition and engages in team activities when appropriate. 
▪ Maintains timely and accurate filing system/records including expenses. 
▪ Oversees neat, clean, organized and safe workspaces. 
▪ Outside sales representatives are expected to work nights and weekends as required for customer 
facing special events, showroom appointments or staffing coverage. Individuals are expected to work 
weekends as needed in a shared rotation. 
▪ Perform other projects or duties which benefit the company as assigned by Manager or his designee. 

Skills/Qualifications:  
▪ Lead by example; be approachable by all associates and customers. 
▪ Maintain intellectual curiosity; prepare and challenge yourself. 
▪ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, coworkers, and trade 
professionals. 
▪ Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with clients, other sales staff, 
and internal personnel.  
▪ B.S. degree or equivalent 5-7 years’ work experience 
▪ Prior sales experience 
▪ Self-starter with strong problem solving and decision-making ability. 
▪ Excellent time management and leadership skills. 
▪ Customer Service and dispute resolution 
▪ Plan reading and estimating for budgeting sales of millwork products and installation. 
▪ Ability to read, analyze and interpret common sales and merchandising statistics and financial 
reports. 
▪ Must be detail oriented, well organized, and adept at managing multiple priorities. 
▪ Proficiency with POS, Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook software. 
▪ Must be able to work well in a team environment. 
▪ Ability to lift >= 70lbs 
▪ Valid MA driver’s license and possess clean driving record. 
▪ Bilingual skills are a plus (English/Spanish highly desirable).
