Job Description

Position Title: Production Line Operator

Wage: $15.80-$16 per hour

Shift: 2nd, 3rd

Hours: 3:00pm-11:00pm; 11:00pm-7:00m

QPS Employment Group has a great Production Line Operator position available at a company in Mount Pleasant, IA. This is a 2nd and 3rd shift position with the opportunity for hire.

Production Line Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform cutting, trimming, and packaging of finished products.
- Operate on production lines performing repetitive tasks to mass-produce products.
- Inspect products to verify conformance to quality and specification standards.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Rotate between workstations as production needs require.
- Work on lines where product models and tasks may vary.
- Recommend improvements to production processes, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and standard work methods.
- Promote teamwork and support coworkers to maintain production efficiency and service quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards in the work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and promote a safety-first work environment.
- Protect and maintain the confidentiality of company information.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with team members, leadership, and external contacts.
- Perform quality checks including measurements, weight checks, brittleness testing, and documentation.

Production Line Operator Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-3 months of related manufacturing or production experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Ability to follow instructions, standard procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, with occasional heavier lifting required.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl throughout the shift.
- Ability to use hands for handling tools, materials, and controls.
- Regular and reliable attendance required.
- Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
