Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for Level III NICU Nurses!

Job Description:


- Join a dynamic team as a Level III NICU Nurse in a fast-paced environment!
- Work 3 x 12-hour shifts with a rotation of day and night shifts.
- Optimal living distance: Must reside within 50 miles from the facility.
- 8-week contract with guaranteed hours of 36 per week.
- Care for neonates, particularly those admitted from labor and delivery.
- Support a diverse patient population ranging from as early as 23 weeks gestation to 4 months old.

Key Responsibilities:


- Respond to neonatal emergencies by providing immediate assessment and care for newborns post-delivery.
- Attend all high-risk deliveries and C-sections.
- Manage conditions such as extreme prematurity, respiratory distress syndrome, sepsis, hypoglycemia, congenital anomalies, seizures, and meconium aspiration syndrome.
- Provide services, including:
- Noninvasive nasal CPAP
- Mechanical ventilation (including High Frequency Oscillation)
- Nitric oxide inhalation therapy
- Assist in bedside procedures:
- Peripheral IV insertion
- Septic workups
- Intubations
- Percutaneous catheter insertions
- Parenteral therapy
- Administration of blood and blood products
- Bronchopulmonary hygiene
- Medication administration
- Vital signs monitoring
- Parent education
- Conduct most diagnostic services at the bedside.

Qualifications:


- Minimum 3 years of NICU experience is required.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the respective state/district.
- Certifications: STABLE, NRP, BLS - Required.
- Must be proficient in managing vents, oscillators, pressors, and caring for micro preemies.
