Job Position: Press Helper Night shift

Location: Rockwall, TX 75032

Pay Rate: $17.75/hr

Press Schedule:

5:30 AM to 5:30 PM (Days) OR 5:30 PM to 5:30 AM (Nights) - They rotate every six months.

Example: if they are on A, they will be moved to C and if they are on B they will be moved to D.

B Shift (Night shift): Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday.

Job Summary:
The Press Department is responsible for printing logos, graphics, product information, and other designs onto plastic film used to manufacture plastic bags. Press Helpers assist Press Operators in maintaining production flow, ensuring quality standards are met, and supporting daily machine operations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Press Operators with machine setup and production runs.
• Load and unload plastic film rolls and production materials.
• Monitor printed products for quality, color consistency, and print alignment.
• Help maintain ink supplies and other production materials.
• Inspect products for defects and report quality concerns.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow all company safety and production procedures.
• Support operators with general production tasks as needed.

Work Environment:

• The Press Department is the second step in the plastic bag manufacturing process.
• Employees work around printing equipment that applies designs and information to plastic film.
• The department is climate controlled; however, employees may work near non-climate-controlled production areas and should be comfortable with occasional exposure to warmer temperatures.
• Strong ink odors are present throughout portions of the department. Candidates must be comfortable working around these smells for extended periods.
• Fast-paced manufacturing environment with moving machinery and production deadlines.

Requirements:

• Manufacturing, warehouse, or machine operation experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work safely around machinery and production equipment.
• Reliable attendance and a positive work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous printing press, manufacturing, or plastic production experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine operations.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
