Location: Syracuse, NY

Pay & Schedule

1st Shift

• Monday – Friday
• 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• $18.00 per hour

2nd Shift

• Monday – Friday
• 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• $20.00 per hour

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Paper Cutter OR Bindery Operator to support production operations at a growing manufacturing facility in the Syracuse area. This position is responsible for operating cutting equipment, maintaining quality standards, and helping ensure production goals are achieved safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate guillotine cutting equipment according to production specifications
• Load materials and verify the correct supplies are being used for each job
• Monitor production quality and make adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy
• Perform routine equipment cleaning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet customer and quality requirements
• Track production output and complete required documentation
• Communicate equipment concerns or production issues to supervisors
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and quality guidelines
• Support continuous improvement efforts and team production goals

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• At least 1 year of manufacturing, production, machine operation, or industrial experience
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues
• Ability to read production instructions and follow established procedures
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform lifting and repetitive tasks
