We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Public Relations with 8-10 years of experience to join their dynamic team. You will only need to be present at the office in Fort Worth, Texas, approximately once a month, allowing you to enjoy the benefits of remote work while maintaining a strong connection with the team. Key Responsibilities: As the Director of Public Relations, you will spearhead the planning and execution of public relations strategies for our clients. In addition, you will work closely with agency leadership to update workflows, enhance approaches, and expand the department. This is across multiple industries spanning from food and bev to oil and gas to non-profits and more (aka - never a dull moment). Your role will involve: Expertly handling internal and crisis communications needs with finesse Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Slides, Sheets, etc.) Familiarity with Google AdWords, display and mobile advertising Managing a diverse range of projects for our esteemed clientele Keeping the team informed of client and agency opportunities, such as articles, awards, and tie-ins to social content calendars Demonstrating a solid understanding of social marketing platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, etc.) to complement PR efforts Active participation in meetings with clients, vendors, and colleagues to propose and implement effective PR strategies Preparing, presenting, and executing PR plans aligned with client goals, showcasing your exceptional playbook design skills Working within budgets and estimates to achieve optimal results Taking the lead in writing news releases, handling media inquiries, and ensuring client preparedness through coaching and training Collaborating with our analytics and media teams to measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all projects Contributing to proposal development and presentations to support new business endeavors Serving as a subject matter expert for PR tactics, collaborating with our account service and media teams to strategize effectively Experience in developing messaging, crafting press releases, initiating communications plans, and creating scripts, media briefings, and marketing communications Possessing a robust media contacts list (local, NPB, industries, etc.) and a genuine desire to pitch the press Demonstrating clear, concise writing skills following AP style guidelines Proactively initiating and developing PR campaigns to generate media coverage, support reputation management, and drive positive client sentiment While the Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) credential is not mandatory, it is considered a valuable asset Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship This position does not entail any direct reports at present, however there is anticipation for building out a team with your leadership At the agency, they understand the importance of valuing their employees and offer a comprehensive range of benefits, including: Healthcare spending/health savings account plans available Vision and dental options Life insurance plans Employer-paid long-term disability insurance Generous vacation time, sick leave, and personal time off Salary target is $95k-100k If you are a passionate and experienced Director of Public Relations seeking a career-defining opportunity at an agency with an exceptional culture and benefits, we want to hear from you!
