Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide locum tenens coverage at a busy Level I Trauma medical center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a collaborative anesthesia team while managing a diverse and complex case mix in a high-volume surgical environment.Position HighlightsSchedule: Monday–FridayPrimary Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8-hour shifts)Full-time availability requiredFlexibility with shift length and work location is required based on staffing needsProviders must be willing to work call, nights, and weekends as part of the coverage scheduleCall ScheduleShared CRNA call rotationApproximately one weekend every other monthSaturday and Sunday beeper callPractice SettingHigh-volume hospital-based anesthesia practiceApproximately 1,200 surgical cases per monthCare team model consisting of:80% independent cases20% medically directed/supervised casesCase MixProviders will administer anesthesia for a wide variety of surgical specialties, including:General SurgeryOrthopedic SurgeryObstetrics & GynecologyEar, Nose & Throat (ENT)Plastic SurgeryCardiothoracic SurgeryNeurosurgeryUrologyElectrophysiology (EP)Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS)OncologyDental SurgeryVascular SurgeryThoracic SurgeryGastroenterologyThe majority of cases include Orthopedics, General Surgery, OB/GYN, ENT, Plastic Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, and Gastroenterology.Required Clinical ExperienceCandidates must be comfortable providing anesthesia for:Adult Level I TraumaPediatric Level II TraumaLevel III NICUTrauma casesCardiothoracic proceduresObstetricsPediatric anesthesia (required)Facility InformationAdult Level I Trauma CenterPediatric Level II Trauma CenterLevel III NICUEMR: Epic (Epic proficiency test-out available)QualificationsCertified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)Board CertifiedMinimum of two (2) years of CRNA experience (no new graduates)Active Florida CRNA licenseCurrent BLS, PALS, and ATLS certificationsPediatric anesthesia experience requiredExperience with trauma, cardiothoracic, obstetric, and complex surgical cases preferredAdditional RequirementsCandidates must reside outside of Florida (Florida-based providers will not be considered).A current out-of-state driver's license must be submitted with the presentation.Full-time availability (4 weeks per month) is required.Providers must be willing to work days, nights, call, and weekends. Day-only availability cannot be accommodated.Rush credentialing is available, with temporary privileges possible in as little as 3–4 weeks for providers with a clean file and an active Florida license.
