Assistant Store Manager

Compensation Pay Range: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour. The actual rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses and premiums. Premiums may be paid per hour in specific circumstances and can be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Responsibilities Assist the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. Manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence or when working opposing shifts. Lead the store team members in servicing customers and providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom and ensure team members execute customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.). Ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak business hours. Assist with the hiring process, including recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management for qualified hires. Ensure telephone calls are answered according to company policy. Process buy online/ship to store, hub-to-store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner, notifying customers of shipment arrivals. Use the electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and in accordance with procedure. Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently, issue refunds accurately, and ensure returned merchandise is staged correctly in the returns area. Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store. Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned. Enforce company policies on posted work schedules, change approvals, and clock‑in/out procedures. Perform all store opening and closing duties: day‑end procedures, money/deposit verification, bank deposits, security lights, door locks, alarm arming/disarming, and delivery vehicle security. Assist in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage and lighting, computer hardware, in‑store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles. All other duties as assigned. Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, RSS Certification. Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification, ASE Certification. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
