AI & Platform Engineer Location: Villanova, PA • Position Type: Staff, Full‑time – 12 months • Department: 723‑UTS‑Web Services and Technologies • Salary: $112,000 – $124,400 The AI & Platform Engineer serves as a hands‑on technical expert responsible for designing, supporting, optimizing, and advancing Villanova University’s enterprise platforms and AI capabilities. Responsibilities: Provide administration, engineering, training, and support for Salesforce, SharePoint, and related enterprise platforms. Provide administration, engineering, training, and support for AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude. Design, develop, and optimize AI‑enabled and platform‑enabled workflows, capabilities, and integrations. Analyze stakeholder needs and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency using AI and platform capabilities. Deliver Tier II/III support and troubleshooting for platform and AI services. Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and standards. Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Formal education: Undergraduate degree preferred, or a combination of education and experience. Work experience: Five (5) years supporting enterprise platforms, preferably in higher education. Work skills: Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. Specific job knowledge: Salesforce, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude); experience with any combination of these tools is acceptable. Equipment knowledge: Admin consoles, AI interfaces, workflow automation tools. Other: Commitment to continuous learning in AI and platform technologies. Preferred Qualifications: Formal education: Master’s degree preferred. Work experience: Experience in higher education strongly preferred. Work skills: Advanced presentation, automation design, and solution architecture skills. Specific job knowledge: Power Automate, Power Apps, API integrations, advanced AI model usage. Equipment knowledge: Cloud monitoring and platform management tools. Other: AI or Salesforce certifications preferred.
