Experience UGA - Student Worker

Experience UGA – Student Worker Position Summary: Student workers with Experience UGA in the Mary Frances Early College of Education work with kindergarten children from elementary schools in the Clarke County School District using lesson plans designed to teach measuring and related concepts (tall/short, long/short, big/little). Student workers typically welcome children to the College, lead small groups through activities, and assist with their departure. Student workers are also responsible for setting up prior to the session and cleaning up afterward. Attending a training session and passing a background check to be completed prior to employment. Qualified student workers will be available to work on Friday mornings and will be scheduled on an as‑needed basis, up to 24 hours per semester. Responsibilities Set up and clean up of sessions Teach sessions to kindergarten children Lead small groups through activities Assist with children’s departure Attend training and pass required background check Qualifications Be enrolled in and actively attending classes on at least a half‑time basis at a University System of Georgia institution during the employment period Demonstrate a desire to work with young children Ability to sit in a chair or on the floor and lead children through activities Availability to work on Friday mornings, up to 24 hours per semester Accept required background investigation and potential drug testing Job Details Title: Student Assistant (non‑exempt) Position: Experience UGA – Student Worker Posting Number: G/R32429P Posting Date: 03/10/2026 Closing Date: Open until filled
