HTS has a vibrant look and brand promise -- one that reflects our company-wide commitment to ensure the individual success of all those involved in a project's HVAC system selection, design, purchase, installation and maintenance including our employees, suppliers, customers and end users.QualificationsThe right candidate brings strong technical instincts, a safety-first mindset, and a track record of delivering quality serviceActive TDLR HVAC Journeyman License (Texas)EPA 608 Universal Certification5 or more years of commercial HVAC experience with significant exposure to heavy chiller systemsDemonstrated experience with BAS/DDC controls platformsStrong electrical troubleshooting capability across both low and high voltage systemsComfortable working independently with limited oversightValid Texas driver's license in good standingAbility to lift 50 lbs and operate in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and confined spacesResponsibilitiesIn this role, you'll handle complex diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, and system optimization across large commercial and industrial facilitiesDiagnose and repair large tonnage chillers — air-cooled and water-cooled — including centrifugal, screw, and scroll configurationsTroubleshoot and program DDC/BAS building controls systems at an advanced levelCommission and start up chiller and controls systems, optimizing for peak efficiencyIdentify and resolve electrical, mechanical, and controls-related issuesConduct scheduled preventative maintenance on chillers, cooling towers, pumps, boilers, and supporting equipmentInterpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematicsKeep accurate, timely documentation of all service work, repairs, and recommendationsCommunicate clearly with customers about system conditions, findings, and next stepsAdhere to all safety requirements, EPA standards, and internal company policiesProvide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and junior technicians when applicableHTS provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by laws.
