Core Java Lead Developer (RESTful APIs, Microservices, Kafka , OAuth2)

Title: Core Java Lead Developer (RESTful APIs, Microservices, Kafka , OAuth2)

Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid – 2 to 3 Days Onsite per Week)

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Face to face Interview is required

We are seeking a highly experienced Core Java Lead Developer to join a large-scale enterprise application development team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Python, Spring Boot, Microservices, and cloud-native application development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and support enterprise-grade microservices and distributed systems.

• Lead backend application development using Java and Spring Boot.

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures.

• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.

• Implement best practices for performance, security, monitoring, and reliability.

• Mentor developers and provide technical leadership across the development lifecycle.

• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and production support activities.

Required Skills:

• 10+ years of software development experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with Core Java (Java 8/11/17).

• Solid experience with Python development.

• Extensive experience with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.

• Strong knowledge of Microservices Architecture and REST APIs.

• Experience with Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, and Spring Security.

• Experience implementing OAuth2 and JWT-based authentication.

• Hands-on experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ messaging platforms.

• Strong SQL database experience (PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL).

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

• Experience working with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.

• Knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger and API Gateway technologies.

• Experience with service discovery tools such as Eureka or Consul.

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools including Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with MongoDB or Cassandra.

• Financial Services or Banking domain experience.

• Experience leading development teams and driving technical solutions.
