Warehouse Bakery Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Award winning specialty food manufacturer is immediately hiring a bi lingual Spanish , highly motivated worker with a shipping and receiving background. This is a fast paced environment and the role will focus on shipping and receiving . This specialty manufacturer is know for making their products by hand and distributing nation-wide.

Title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Compensation: $22 -$25/hr DOE
Location: Bronx, NY
Experience: 24+ months
Shift: Monday - Friday: 7am to 3:30pm (over time available, a few Saturdays in the fall/winter)

OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a bi lingual Spanish reliable Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our dough production warehouse team. The role is responsible for handling all incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring materials and finished goods are received, stored, and shipped in a safe and timely manner.

Qualifications:

Bi-Lingual Spanish is a requirement. Must be able to communicate with Spanish speaking employees and clients.

• Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations (food manufacturing experience a plus).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic math and computer skills for inventory and documentation.
• Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to work in refrigerated or warm production/warehouse environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming raw materials, packaging, and supplies.
• Verify shipments against bills of lading, invoices, or purchase orders.
• Basic math and computer skills for inventory and documentation.
• Properly store materials in designated warehouse locations.
• Prepare, stage, and load outgoing shipments of finished dough and related products.
• Ensure all products are labeled, packaged, and documented correctly before shipping.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counts as required.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (if certified).
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and warehouse safety procedures at all times.
• Communicate effectively with production, logistics, and management teams to meet daily shipping and receiving deadlines.
• Assist with general warehouse duties such as organizing, cleaning, and restocking.

Work Environment:

• Warehouse and food production setting; exposure to coolers, freezers, and production equipment.
