RN Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: Tempe Medical Center, 1500 S Mill Ave, Tempe, AZ 85281 Department: Cardiac Catheterization Lab; Shift: Monday‑Thursday, 7am‑5:30pm (no call). Salary: $20k sign‑on available. Responsibilities Assess patients, collect health data, analyze assessment data, develop nursing diagnoses and plan of care. Implement interventions, initiate treatments, medications and emergency resuscitative measures per standing orders. Provide direct patient care including medication administration, IV line management, administration of therapies, and observation. Educate patients and families on illness management, post‑treatment care, diet, nutrition, exercise, and medication self‑administration. Document patient progress, observations, nursing interventions, and therapeutic measures in a retrievable format. Precept new hires and students; assist staff in competency skill completion. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team, physicians and other health professionals to evaluate care and implement evidence‑based improvements. Advocate for patient, family, and cultural needs in a family‑centered approach. Contribute to quality and cost‑effective care through ongoing evaluation of care plans and evidence‑based practice. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona. Minimum 10months experience in med‑surg or acute specialty setting. Minimum 1year RN experience for all float positions. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Unit‑specific certification as required by specialty area. Preferred BSN; Diploma/ADN must complete BSN within 60months of hire or have ≥5years RN experience (direct or indirect). Additional knowledge of stroke patient care (NIHSS, stroke alert, protocols, quality indicators, etc.) required for direct stroke patient responsibility.
