Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year required License: Compact or state license required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: 1 year of experience in medical-surgical nursing Experience in an academic medical center preferred Candidates must work 3 out of 5 winter holidays Local travelers not accepted within 100 miles Description: This is an acute, non-telemetry medical-surgical unit. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5. All contracts require BLS certification, with ACLS preferred. Candidates must have at least one year of nursing experience. Preferred experience includes working in an academic medical center. Candidates will be expected to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. Compliance requires acute medical-surgical experience only; telemetry and EKG testing are not required. No licensure violations will be accepted. It is important to disclose if candidates have previously worked in this facility for eligibility verification.
