Accounting Manager

Oversight & Accounting OperationsOversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll support, and general ledger managementMaintain accurate and timely financial records, reconciliations, and reportingManage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processesMonitor company cash flow, working capital, and overall financial healthReview and maintain company credit card reconciliations and vendor account balancesCoordinate with external CPA partners regarding taxes, year-end reporting, and financial reviewsEnsure financial information is accurate, organized, and audit readyJob Costing & Profitability AnalysisOversee job costing accuracy across all projects and service linesAnalyze job profitability, labor performance, and margin trendsPartner with operations to ensure alignment between field activity and financial reportingSupport leadership with forecasting, cost tracking, and financial decision makingAssist in improving visibility into production performance and job financialsReview project related financial data for accuracy across systems including QuickBooks, ProCore, HubSpot, and other operational platformsBilling, Revenue & Payroll SupportOversee invoicing processes and ensure billing accuracyReview and support complex customer billing processes including AIA billing, percentage of completion billing, and customer specific billing requirementsEnsure proper revenue recognition and timingReview payroll reporting and labor allocation to ensure labor costs are properly reflected in job costingSupport bonus tracking and reporting processesProfessionally and consistently follow up on outstanding customer payments and receivablesCommunicate effectively with customers, vendors, project managers, and leadership regarding billing, collections, documentation, and payment statusSystems, Reporting & Process ImprovementOwn and help optimize financial systems, reporting structures, and accounting workflowsImprove communication and workflows between accounting, operations, estimating, and project management teamsIdentify inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions related to accounting, reporting, and operational processesAssist with implementation, optimization, and integration of company software and operational systemsSupport leadership with development of financial dashboards, KPI tracking, and operational reportingHelp create more standardized and scalable financial processes across the organizationProactively recommend improvements related to automation, reporting visibility, software utilization, and workflow efficiencyCompliance & Risk ManagementEnsure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and internal controlsMaintain organized financial documentation and records retention processesSupport audits, insurance reporting, certified payroll reporting, and customer financial documentation requestsAssist with monitoring lien waivers, tax exempt documentation, certificates of insurance, and customer compliance requirements as neededAssist with insurance administration, including certificates of insurance (COIs), claims support, policy documentation, and customer/vendor insurance compliance requestsRequired Skills & Qualifications:Proven experience in construction accounting and financial management xhyhwjd Experience with job costing and project based financial trackingStrong understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, payroll reporting, and financial statementsAdvanced understanding of accounting software integrations, workflow automation, and digital process improvementStrong proficiency in QuickBooks, Procore, Microsoft 365, and multiple procurement and supplier management platforms (for example: Ariba, Coupa, ISNetworld (ISN), JAGGAER, etc.)Ability to quickly learn and adapt to evolving software platforms and operational systemsAbility to identify inefficiencies and proactively recommend scalable technology or process improvementsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage
