Advanced Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Advanced Maintenance Technician to join a dynamic healthcare team in the Midwest region. This role is essential in maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of healthcare facilities by performing a wide range of maintenance tasks both indoors and outdoors.

• Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures using metal framing, wood, plywood, and wallboard in patient care areas.
• Install and repair piping systems including water, steam, gas, oil, and drains when equipped with proper tools.
• Inspect and assess existing structures to identify maintenance needs and necessary repairs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency calls from staff.
• Collaborate with construction supervisors, facilities directors, and other professionals to ensure timely project completion.
• Assist maintenance and facilities teams as needed and maintain tools and equipment in safe working order.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
• Document maintenance activities accurately using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing healthcare facility operations.
• Perform routine safety checks on electrical and mechanical equipment and respond to facility emergency codes.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and handle hazardous materials safely.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Proven experience in maintenance or facilities work, preferably within a healthcare environment.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, boiler, and pneumatic systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and practices relevant to construction and healthcare industries.

• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
• Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
• Highly organized and capable of prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record required.
• Must carry limited liability insurance with coverage limits of $100,000 Each/$300,000 Aggregate or $300,000 Combined Single Limit.
