Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations across the fabrication shop and the Truck Body & Equipment division

• Own full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control

• Recruit, lead, and develop production supervisors, shop leads, and support staff

• Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to Ferrotek's quality standards

• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements

• Drive continuous improvement in shop productivity, workflow, and equipment utilization

• Manage key customer relationships across construction, industrial, and fleet/equipment clients

• Oversee procurement, inventory management, and vendor/supplier relationships

• Partner with sales and estimating on bidding, scheduling, and capacity planning

• Develop and execute strategic plans to support growth of both divisions

• Report on operational and financial performance to ownership/executive leadership

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive management experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or a related industrial setting

• Demonstrated success owning P&L and leading operations for a shop-based or manufacturing business

• Strong working knowledge of fabrication processes, welding, and shop operations

• Experience in construction, structural steel, or truck equipment/fleet industries strongly preferred

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Comfortable reading blueprints and technical drawings

• Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and regulatory compliance

• Proficiency with ERP/production management software and Microsoft Office

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience
