With a steadfast commitment to advancing medical technology, we take immense pride in the work we do – and have a lot of fun doing it.About this Opportunity:In absence of Supervisor, assist inspectors with day-to-day activities and interacts with Production Manager to resolve quality-related production problems. Functions independently within broad scope of established department policies and goals; generally, refer specific problems to supervisor only where clarification of operating policies and procedures may be required.Responsibilities:Assigns jobs in the absence of supervisor.Interact with Press Room/Tool Room Supervisor in the absence of the Quality Supervisor.Assist production employees with problems and questions.Interact with tooling personnel to resolve problems.Perform inspection utilizing latest state of the art equipment.Utilize computer to verify job number and print PIR sheets, etc.Perform all duties of a Quality Control Technician.Hold MRB in absence of Supervisor when needed.Maintain an organized, clean and safe work environment by following 6S standards.Properly follow all H&M procedures and policies.Use correct P.P.E. per JHAs and Job Description.Participate in Continuous Improvement activities, including the Idea System.Perform all other duties as assigned.Exercise immediate guidance, assigns and allocates work and provides basic training.Performs detailed work of the same or closely allied nature.In the absence of the QC Supervisor, ensures departmental conformance to all company policies and procedures. Conflicts should be reported to the appropriate authority.Provides input to performance evaluations.Requirements:Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.High school Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Ability to do basic math in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals in both English and metric; Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
