Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse provides both direct and indirect patient care within a fast-paced environment. This role involves evaluating patient outcomes, consulting with specialists and ancillary departments as necessary, and adjusting nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care and efficient flow within the Emergency Room (ER).

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive care that addresses the psychosocial and physical needs of patients.
• Engage effectively with patients and their families to meet communication needs.
• Monitor changes in patient status, symptoms, and diagnostic study results, communicating these promptly to ED physicians.
• Respond swiftly and accurately to shifts in patient condition or treatment responses.
• Exhibit initiative and responsibility in all aspects of care, reflecting professional standards.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Illinois.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.
• Preferred certifications include ENPC, TNCC, and TNS.
• A minimum of one year of nursing experience in an emergency department setting is required.

Work Schedule:

This position requires night shift coverage from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with rotating weekends and holiday coverage as necessary.
