Registered Nurse (RN) - Infusion Job Type: PRN | Days Schedule: 8hr (6:30am-3:00pm) or 10hr (6:30am-5:00pm) shifts, PRN - as needed. Our surgical department is made up of a 14 bed Pre-Op, 5 bay PACU and 8 Operating Rooms. With dedicated Surgeons, Nurses and Surgical Technologists, you will gain experience in areas such as General Surgery, OB/GYN, Ortho/Sports Medicine, ENT, Cataracts, Pain, Podiatry, Urology, Bronchoscopies, Endoscopy, Dental Extractions and Peds Dental Restorations. Also included in our services is Outpatient Infusion and Pre-anesthesia Testing. How you'll contribute A Registered Nurse (RN)who excels in this role: Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient Performs timely and accurate QI assessments Why join us We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care. What we're looking for Applicants should have a current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire. AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire. One year of experience preferred Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
