As a Banker at Woodforest National Bank, you will serve as a frontline ambassador, delivering the Woodforest Experience. You will focus on building and growing retail customer relationships through exceptional service, proactive marketing of products and services, and consistent execution of operational excellence. Collaborate with branch team members to support community events, outreach activities, and in-store promotions that align with Woodforest’s community-focused mission. Initiative Perform branch servicing duties including teller transactions, cash handling, balancing, ordering cash, vault activities, audits, ATM servicing, and workspace upkeep. Open and maintain deposit accounts and consumer loan products with accuracy and attention to compliance standards. Follow branch security procedures and remain vigilant in protecting the bank, customers, and team members. Maintain flexibility to support additional retail branch duties and business needs as assigned. Competencies Required Must be proactive when seeking business outside of the branch. Must be open to direct coaching and feedback. Ability to work flexible or extended working hours to meet business needs; demonstrated reliability. Demonstrate a passion for taking care of people by exhibiting effective problem-solving abilities, the ability to maintain composure and convey a positive attitude while interacting with customers as well as internal team members. Knowledge of/or ability to quickly learn products, services, policies, procedures, regulatory guidelines, as well as engaging in a sales and service process. Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, follow directions, and apply proper policies, procedures and guidelines. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to understand instructions, forms, applications, and be familiar with financial statements and credit reports. Minimum Qualifications/Experience Minimum of 2 years of relevant retail sales and/or customer service experience. Prior in-store retail banking experience preferred but not required. Demonstrated willingness to accept coaching and feedback to improve performance. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Working Conditions Conditions include standing most of the time, may involve walking, moving, bending, stooping or sitting for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 30 lbs.
