Maintenance and Operations Worker I

Job Summary Under the direction of the Director of Maintenance and Operations, perform a variety of semi-skilled to skilled maintenance and repair work in the maintenance and repair of school buildings, facilities and equipment; maintain facilities and equipment in safe and efficient operating condition; assist other maintenance personnel with special projects Requirements / Qualifications Comments and Other Information El Segundo Unified School District is a K-12 school district, serving approximately 3,500 students across six schools (one preschool, two elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, and one alternative program). The District is located in a small coastal community of approximately 16,000 residents. The Pacific Ocean, Los Angeles World Airport, Chevron Oil Refinery, and large corporate business centers border the city. This unique position creates a small hometown atmosphere with a strong sense of community amidst the larger, Los Angeles metropolitan area. El Segundo Unified is an innovative and dynamic district with a strong focus on college preparedness, career readiness, and student well being.
