Overview Texas Oncology is looking for a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our South Austin team. This is a full‑time Monday‑Friday position (8:30 am–5 pm) with no weekends, call or major holidays. Responsibilities Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices. Assess health status by interviewing patients about current status and medical history. Assess patient and family needs and provide teaching and instructional material. Provide psychosocial support to patients and families. Facilitate clinical operations and patient care. Manage patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and record the information in the patient chart. Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals and future appointments for patients. Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the patient chart. Facilitate communication between patients/families and the interdisciplinary team and coordinate services related to patient care. Assist patients in locating available community resources. Collaborate with interprofessional team members. Act as a resource to LPNs/LVNs and medical assistants. Qualifications Education and Training Level I Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program (BSN preferred). Hold an RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state. Hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Maintain continuing education requirements. Entry‑level (0‑3 years) nursing experience, with oncology experience strongly preferred. Level II Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience, with oncology experience strongly preferred. Level Senior In addition to Level I and II requirements: Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology (strongly preferred). Oncology certification preferred.
