Inventory Manager

YOUR ROLE

If so, we have an opportunity that would allow you to manage the integrity of the inventory within a facility and the reporting of inventory results to the client and the operation's management team.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Oversee and manage the Inventory Control department to ensure the integrity of the inventory and that all procedures and processes are followed and completed in a timely manner and in accordance with client requirements, system requirements, company policy, ISO guidelines, Sarbanes Oxley and other regulatory requirements. Plan, execute and reconcile physical inventories. Oversee daily cycle counts, audits and reconciliation of activities between systems in accordance with contractual commitments. Ensure timely reporting and communication to the appropriate staff. Ensure that customer requirements are reported accurately and timely, according to customer specifications and contractual obligations. Resolve discrepancies and high-value variances through established investigative processes and in accordance with contractual obligations. Organize data and provide results for management review and actions. Resolve production issues related to systems applications within the warehouse environment using technical/trouble shooting skills. Identify and/or solve operational and WMS issues within the work group to provide productive and quality results. Serve as the primary contact between the company and the client's Inventory Control team. Work collaboratively with the management team to provide recommendations and solutions to improve inventory accuracy. Identify and recommend enhancements to improve management and integrity of the inventory WMS system. Create, implement and update inventory operational Standard Operating Procedures. Develop process and procedures for vendor compliance when applicable. Support the client with all reporting and queries needed. Balance with customer to all month end buckets and reports. Utilize superior communications skills to motivate staff and develop effective working relationships with peers, executives and customers. Develop and maintain staff and organizational development programs that provide adequate levels of training, succession planning, skill enhancement and overall department efficiency and capability. Conduct annual performance reviews for all staff within department and address all employee performance problems promptly and directly in accordance with personnel policies of the Company. Keep abreast of emerging technology changes and innovations through formal or informal study, reading business and professional publications, networking and participation in professional organizations. Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Minimum 5 years related experience. Minimum 3 years supervisory or managerial experience. Minimum 3 years’ industry experience. Valid state issued Driver's License. Forklift Driver Certification. Other professional certifications may be required. In-depth experience and knowledge in using computer systems, mainframe and workstations for management of inventory reconciliation, performance measurement and reporting (including WMS -Warehouse Management Systems.) In-depth experience in inventory control, cycle counting and quality assurance, (Lean, Six Sigma and ISO). Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain or related discipline. Minimum 5 years’ industry experience.
