Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical

Shift: Nights — 3x12 or 4x12 (block schedule approved) Patient ratio: 1:2

Requirements:

• License: State or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (TNCC preferred)
• Years of experience: 2 years preferred
• Charting system: Epic (required)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a medical/surgical setting.
• Manage ventilator support and perform procedures related to airway control.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies, including vasoactive and cardiac drips.
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, including arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Assist in the management of stroke patients and implement IV insulin protocols.

Compliance / Notes:

• Weekend coverage required.
• Pre-approved time off: one time off request must be listed at the time of submittal.
• Orientation: 24 hours.
• Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler.
• Core items/labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing.
