Mid-Level Android DeveloperLooking for mid-level Android developers who have the ability to participate in the planning, analysis, creation, and design of mobile applications. In this role you will be responsible for creating and developing features and functionality for scalable consumer mobile applications in a clean, maintainable, and tested way. You must also be able to provide support for existing applications including troubleshooting and bug fixes.This role is contract to hire and does require one day a week onsite (hybrid model). Salary will depend on years of experience.Additional ResponsibilitiesWork closely with UI/UX designers, backend developers, frontend developers, QA analysts, business analysts, and product managers in a highly collaborative and agile team environmentCollaborate with business users to define and/or clarify requirements for new or modified featuresCoordinate product releases with the team and managementProvide direction and assist team members through mentoring, collaboration, and code reviewsDetermine flow and assignment of tasks to meet milestones and guide team through agile development process to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality final productAssist with project components and project management duties for development of applicationsMonitor industry trends and advocate for mobile development best-practicesRequired experience2+ years’ experience in native Android mobile application development using Android Studio, Kotlin, and Java1+ years’ experience in Agile/Scrum application development3+ years’ experience integrating RESTful APIs, or similar technologies, and web services with applicationsExperience with the MVVM architectural patternExperience with newer Android toolkits and libraries such as Jetpack ComposeExperience creating automated unit testsExperience improving the quality and structure of previously written code.Ability to understand moderately complex business and technical solutionsAbility to understand the fundamentals of computers science, specifically algorithms and data structuresAbility to apply professional expertise to contribute to team objectives and outcomes as guidedAbility to interpret established procedures and exercise judgment to resolve issues of medium complexityAbility to determine the best technology solutions to resolve problemsAbility to utilize project management methodologies to achieve development objectiveRequired Skills: At least 5 years of Android experience Jetpack Compose Knowing Kotlin vs. Java is important (must have Kotlin) Why would we use MVVM as our architecture (This is what we use and they need to understand this) Must have 10/10 communication skills and have the ability to step in and help lead/coach/mentor when the lead is not available Basic Qualification: Additional Skills: Quick interview process!
