Registered Radiologic TechnologistThe Registered Radiologic Technologist position involves the safe performance of accurate diagnostic imaging examinations within the radiography modality in outpatient settings.Essential Job DutiesPerform radiographic examinations as ordered by physicians.Gather pertinent patient history and relevant testing results.Document imaging exams in the electronic health record and PACS.Check schedules for add-ons, changes, and verify orders.Assist in scheduling patients for tests and provide necessary instructions.Contact providers for new and updated orders.Register patients as required.Perform phlebotomy tasks.Conduct in-house lab tests.Prepare lab samples for shipment.Perform related duties as needed.QualificationsTwo-year degree in radiography required.1+ years of related work experience required.BLS certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.Must be registered by the ARRT and maintain certification.Must hold and maintain a Wisconsin Radiography license.Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesIntermediate to expert proficiency with computers is required.Requires assessment, evaluation, and decision-making skills.Demonstrated IV competency.Knowledge of radiography and human anatomy.Self-starter with strong compassion, interpersonal communication, oral and written communication, and problem-solving skills.Physical AbilitiesThis position is generally active in nature. The following physical demands are expected:Ability to communicate orally and in writing with patients, co-workers, and supervisors.Repetitive movements, occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds, reaching, lifting, and stooping.Able to read a computer screen, detect color-coding, and read fine print.Work EnvironmentExposure to moderate noise levels and mechanical moving parts; exposure to potentially hazardous bodily fluids may occur.Holiday CoverageAvailability for holiday coverage is required on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, if the clinic is open.
