Director, Project Management

We are seeking an experienced Director, Project Management to lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of strategic initiatives from concept through to completion. This role will provide direction across multiple projects, ensuring they are aligned with organisational priorities, delivered to agreed standards, and managed within approved budgets and timelines. The successful candidate will establish effective governance, promote consistent project management practices, and provide clear visibility of progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes to senior stakeholders.


Key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining the project portfolio roadmap; setting priorities and allocating resources across concurrent programmes; overseeing project plans, budgets, milestones, and quality standards; and ensuring appropriate controls are in place for scope, risk, issue, and change management. You will lead, coach, and develop project and programme managers, building a high-performing and collaborative delivery function. The role will also involve partnering with business leaders and cross-functional teams to define objectives, assess feasibility, manage dependencies, and ensure that project outcomes deliver measurable value. You will prepare concise reports and recommendations for executive review and take timely action to resolve barriers to delivery.


Applicants should have significant experience leading complex projects or programmes in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment, together with a strong record of delivering strategic change. A recognised qualification in project or programme management, such as PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent, is desirable. You will bring strong commercial awareness, financial and resource management skills, and a thorough understanding of project governance and assurance. Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation, and decision-making abilities are essential, as is the confidence to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
