Ophthalmic Technician

Eye Services is looking for skilled Ophthalmic Technicians seeking to advance their skill set and career. The practice consists of 5 Optometrists and 2 Ophthalmologists and offers diverse services including comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, cataract surgery, medical eye injections, and laser treatment. Responsibilities Perform ophthalmic testing for the physician, including tonometry, refractometry, OCT, visual fields, pachymetry, perimetry, lensometry, autorefrations, fundus photography, and patient work ups. Calculate diagnostic data such as K readings, refraction, visual fields. Document patient history; perform visual acuity and glaucoma tests. Prepare instruments for in-office procedures. Enter data into the EMR during patient work ups. Assist surgeons in the office during procedures. Provide post-operative progress reports to surgeons. Monitor and maintain inventory of medications, medical supplies, and printed material needed for the clinic. Maintain and monitor clinic equipment. Share responsibility for actively maintaining workload items for clinical and support buckets. Qualifications Ophthalmic Technician with COA or COT certification preferred; previous ophthalmic/optometric experience preferred. Proficiency in basic computer, operating systems, and technology. Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology ideal. #J-18808-Ljbffr
