Physician Hospitalist

Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center is seeking a Family Medicine with Obstetrics (OB) Hospitalist for a Per Diem opportunity in Kodiak, Alaska. This role is primarily focused on inpatient care, including comprehensive obstetric services, within a close-knit, mission-driven care team. Where You’ll Work Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center is the sole provider of acute and emergency care for Kodiak Island. Accredited by the Joint Commission and designated as a Level IV trauma center by the State of Alaska, this 25‑bed critical‑access hospital serves the island’s 14,000 residents, the Coast Guard base and neighboring villages. Responsibilities and Qualifications Inpatient care focused role, including adult medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics Strong emphasis on obstetric care, including surgical obstetric coverage (required) Per Diem schedule with 12‑hour on‑site shifts plus 12‑hour on‑call coverage Collaborative environment supporting continuity of care from admission through discharge Minimum 2 years of experience, including obstetrics Comfortable providing full‑scope inpatient care, including OB and surgical obstetrics Physicians with Alaska experience or ties are encouraged to apply Where You’ll Live Kodiak is renowned for its fishing, massive Kodiak brown bears and lush mountains.
