Integration Engineering Technician

Duration: 5+ months (possible extension) Location: Merritt Island, FL 32953 Schedule: Shift D – Friday to Sunday (5:00 PM – 5:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and set up production work areas with required tooling and equipment to support manufacturing operations.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes, along with precision calibrated tools including torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers.
• Apply thermal protection systems (TPS) to flight hardware following engineering drawings, specifications, and written procedures.
• Perform surface preparation, fixturing, adhesive application, sealing, repairs, gap filling, and vacuum bagging on aerospace structures.
• Conduct inspections, second-party verifications, and testing of engineering models and hardware.
• Support payload system preparation, testing, vehicle assembly, and installation activities.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly issues while supporting the transition from development to production.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas following 5S principles.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, and productivity.
• Accurately complete technical logs, production documentation, and work orders.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, aircraft maintenance, integration, or a related technical field.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience using precision measurement and calibration tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser trackers, and optical measuring instruments.
• Experience working with adhesives, sealants, thermal blankets, and related aerospace materials.
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working at heights, in confined spaces, or on lifts and ladders.
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legally authorized refugee.
