SUMMARY

The primary function of this role is to perform harbor related safety, enforcement, emergency response, and environmental protection duties when called upon during part-time, unscheduled work. The position requires availability outside of standard business hours, including nights, weekends, and during emergency events.

Salary for this position is $25.00 per hour.

SUPERVISON RECEIVED

The Deputy (on-call) Harbor Master works under the direction of the Harbor Master and the Fire Department leadership. Duties are performed independently when responding to on-call situations, emergencies, or harbor incidents, but the position follows established policies, procedures, and directives provided by both the Harbormaster’s Office and the Saco Fire Department.
