Senior Electrical EngineerThe Senior Electrical Engineer will research, develop, design, and test electrical systems for industrial manufacturing, energy, and renewable energy projects. This role serves as a technical resource for electrical engineering activities, provides quality control support for engineering deliverables, and leads electrical design efforts from concept through installation and startup.ResponsibilitiesElectrical Engineering & DesignDesign electrical equipment, systems, and facilities for industrial applications, including power distribution, controls, motors, conveyance systems, and safety systems.Develop electrical engineering deliverables including: power one-line diagrams, control schematics, control panel layouts and bills of material, interconnection diagrams, cable schedules, cable tray design criteria and drawings.Prepare and review electrical designs in accordance with company standards, industry codes, and project requirements.Design electrical, gas, and fluid heat trace systems using isometric drawings and create associated bills of material.Develop industrial communication networks.Coordinate and lead the selection of equipment and specification for electrical systems and industrial facilities.Project Execution & LeadershipLead and mentor engineers, designers, and technicians on assigned projects.Coordinate with engineering, estimating, project management, fabrication, and construction teams to support project execution.Develop project estimates and support manpower planning for electrical scope execution.Serve as the primary electrical engineering resource during installation, commissioning, and startup activities.Perform functional testing and checkout procedures on completed electrical systems.Work collaboratively with designers, engineers, contractors, and fabrication personnel to support project quality, safety, and schedule requirements.Manage electrical contractors and fabrication resources to ensure project quality, safety, and schedule requirements are met.Travel domestically and internationally approximately 10-20% annually to support project installation, commissioning, and startup activities.Standards & Continuous ImprovementDevelop and maintain electrical engineering standards, specifications, and standard operating procedures.Evaluate and implement improvements to engineering processes, design standards, and project execution methods.Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, and safety requirements.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.7+ years of electrical engineering experience in industrial manufacturing, energy, renewable energy, or related industrial environments.Experience designing industrial power, controls, and automation systems.Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, engineering design practices, and multidisciplinary project coordination.Experience supporting installation, commissioning, and startup activities.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Mechanical aptitude and hands-on engineering experience.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team environment with multidisciplinary project coordination.Preferred Qualifications:Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.AutoCAD experience.Experience specifying and selecting industrial electrical equipment, including: switchgears, motor control centers (MCCs), large generators, medium- and high-voltage transformers, water treatment and utility systems, HVAC equipment, auxiliary support equipment, PLC and networking devices.Experience interpreting and working with P&IDs.Experience with PLC programming and industrial automation systems.Build a Career with Ownership and PurposeIf you are looking for meaningful work, strong values, and a company that genuinely invests in your future, Roeslein is a place you can grow - professionally and personally.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
