14408 1st shift Warehouse Associate-Industrial, Hicksville, NY, 3-Month Contract
Sigma, Inc. is currently looking for a 1st shift Warehouse Associate-Industrial to work onsite with our team located at Hicksville, NY.
Pay Rate: $22/hr Steel Toe shoes required
Temp Summary / Objective
The Warehouse Operator is responsible for ensuring product availability, scheduling deliveries and maintaining records shipment and deliveries in order to provide the customer with professional logistic services. Percentage of Job/Essential Job Functions
- Operate a forklift in a safe and orderly manner
- Receive and store incoming items according to established system
- Maintain a safe and orderly storage arrangement for all items handled
- Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas
- Handles reloading and loading of trucks
- Must be able to pass Forklift Driving Skills test or currently possess Forklift Driving Certificate
- Work with quality control receiving inspector, Stock/Inventory. Picking orders for staging
- Assisting with other warehouse duties as need be.
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Traits: Knowledge of FIFO, Cycle Count, Basic math skills and ability to read a spreadsheet
- Customer service environment, Ability to work in a team environment
- Flexibility and good communication skills.
- Standing-Entire shift, Lifting up to 75 lbs. regularly
- Working in hot/cold temperatures-Occasionally
- Noise typical of a production environment
- Entire shift Required-Steel Toed Shoes.
- Due to onsite safety all candidates must fluent and able to read and write in either English or Spanish.
