PerfusionistLoyal Source Government Services is seeking one (1) Board-Certified Perfusionist to provide Perfusion services at the Richmond VA Healthcare System located in Richmond, Virginia.Job Summary: Perfusionist must be efficient, motivated, focuses on patient care with our Veteran population. Gastroenterologists are expected to maintain a high degree of accurate productivity and performance while working with our VA community at the Richmond VA Healthcare System in Richmond, VA. Perfusionist are required to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and consistent care to individuals.Pay Rate: $96.89 / hourDuties:Shall be responsible for providing Perfusion/Autotransfusion care.All Perfusionists shall assist the Cardio-Thoracic service with bypass surgical cases and valve replacement of various types.Shall perform on-site Perfusion Services in the treatment and care of eligible veteran beneficiaries as referred and authorized by the Richmond VA Healthcare System.The Perfusionists are responsible for preparing and operating the heart and lung machines/pumps, maintaining a sterile environment for procedures, maintaining adequate blood volume in patients, and preventing shock or air emboli.Assemble supplies and equipment in preparation to accept a patient on extracorporeal circulation in cases of premature cardiac arrest or failure. Other services include the preparation, maintenance, and operation of VA-owned equipment, such as the heart-lung machine, autotransfusion pump, intra-aortic balloon pump, and centrifugal ventricular assist device.Qualifications:Perfusionists shall be certified with a minimum of two (2) years of experience.Perfusionists shall be a graduate of an accredited Allied Health Education Program School of Perfusion Technology and shall be certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion,All Perfusionists shall have performed a minimum of 200 clinical cases. Experience shall be demonstrated in the following areas: Open-heart surgery, autotransfusion, heart-lung machine, membrane oxygenation, left/right heart bypass, intra-aortic balloon pumping, and centrifugal ventricular assist device.Must have an active license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States.Required to have a BLS & ACLS (AHA Required)Additional Information:VA Business Hours: Monday -Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.Work Schedule: Monday- Friday for eight (8) hours a day from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.Please note: this position is notional and contingent upon the award of a government contract.About Notional Opportunities:Notional opportunities are roles in the planning stages and contingent on contract awards.
