Research Assistant

Overview The Department of Biosystems Engineering at Auburn University is seeking candidates for a TES Research Assistant. The selected candidate will provide technical support to biosystems engineering programs. AU students are not eligible for TES. Responsibilities Assist with Precision Agriculture work in the department Assist with managing Biosystems Engineering geospatial Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance of research and teaching equipment Assist with logistical operations that include equipment, materials and labor needs Record, compile, process, and analyze data/samples Assist with preparation of documents for publications and presentations Assist with execution of funded projects and planning of meetings Communicates with Biosystems Engineering faculty and staff, and appropriate offices regarding assessment data Assist with equipment inventories, and work orders Assist with execution of funded projects and planning of meetings Perform other duties as assigned by the department head Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Biological and Agricultural Technology Management, Biosystems Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or other closely related technology field. Valid driver’s license. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of navigating equipment software, and ability to interpret output/results. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Why Work at Auburn?
